Welcome Kenneth Stewart as the new Director of Promotions for North American Missions!
Kenneth was born in Addis Abebe, Ethiopia, while his father was stationed there with the U.S. Army. He was then raised in Liberia, West Africa, after his parents became missionaries there. Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Christian Life College in Stockton, CA. Kenneth has been married for over 28 years to his wife Althea and is the proud father of three daughters. His oldest daughter, Ayana, is married to Vagner Lage and his twin daughters, Alyssa and Alena, are seniors at the University of Central Florida.
The Stewarts founded Tabernacle of Hope in Downtown Tampa over 13 years ago. Tabernacle of Hope is a community-focused ministry with an active computer lab, food and clothes pantry and a feeding ministry, Meals of Hope, that feeds over 70 people a day. Tabernacle of Hope has been featured in media reports for its community outreach programs such as its Community Health Care Outreach and Job Training Programs.
Rev. Stewart has served the United Pentecostal Church International as the Building the Bridge Director, a member of the Board of Publications, and more recently as the Executive Presbyter of the Southeast Region. For the past eight years, he served as the North America Missions Director for the Florida District, leading the District in both new church growth and record Christmas for Christ giving.
